Privacy Policy
Personanote (hereinafter referred to as “the Service”) recognizes the importance of protecting users’ personal information. In order to provide a safe and reliable personality and compatibility analysis app, we hereby establish the following Privacy Policy.
1. Scope and Definitions
In this Policy, “Personal Information” refers to information as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of theAct on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) of Japan (the “Act”) (hereinafter referred to as the “Act”), which means information that can identify a specific individual, such as name or photograph, or information that can be used to identify a specific individual by cross-referencing with other information.
2. About the Information We Collect
The Service collects only the minimum necessary information, as outlined below. We may collect user names and profile images that users optionally set. Most features can be used anonymously at your discretion. Where feasible, features remain available without requiring identification.

- Inquiry Information (inquiry details, email address, etc.)
Note: This Service uses Firebase (Authentication / Firestore / Storage, etc.). Images may be stored in Storage, while display names, search IDs, and similar data may be stored in Firestore.
3. Purpose of Use
The collected information will be used only for the following purposes:
- Provision, maintenance, protection, and improvement of the Service (including detection and prevention of fraudulent use)
- Improvement of diagnostic quality, statistical analysis, and feature enhancements
- Notification of important updates and announcements
- Responding to inquiries and verifying user identity
- Compliance with laws and regulations, and responding to dispute resolution
- Delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention of advertisements (personalization is subject to the user’s choice)
4. Advertisements / Third-Party SDKs (AdMob / UMP / IAB TCF)
This Service displays advertisements through Google AdMob. Google and its partners may use advertising identifiers (IDFA/AAID) and similar data for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention.
- Consent Management (Google UMP): In regions such as the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) is used to obtain and record user consent or legitimate interest choices. It may also support consent signals under IAB TCF v2.2.
- U.S. State Law Mode: In applicable U.S. states (e.g., California), users can opt out of processing considered as “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising through an in-app link or settings.
- How to Change Settings:
iOS: Manage under Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking on the device.
Android: Disable ad personalization from the Google or Ads settings on the device. - UMP re-consent withdrawal: If the regional requirements apply, tapping [Settings > Privacy options] in the app will display the consent message again, allowing you to withdraw or change your consent at any time. You can also have the form reappear at the next app launch (after uninstalling and reinstalling the app) to make changes.
For more details, please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy and AdMob Policy.
5. Provision to Third Parties
We will not provide personal information to third parties except in the following cases:
- When consent has been obtained from the individual / when required by law
- When necessary for the protection of life, body, or property and obtaining consent is difficult
- When particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the sound growth of children
- When a lawful disclosure request has been made by government agencies.
※Note: Entrusting processing to service providers (e.g., Google/Firebase) does not constitute a disclosure to third parties. We require appropriate safeguards from such providers.
6. Overseas servers / international transfer
Data is processed and stored on cloud platforms such as Firebase and may be handled on servers outside of Japan (e.g., in the United States).
7. Security management of personal information
We take reasonable security measures such as encryption, access control, and authorization management to prevent unauthorized access, leakage, loss, or alteration.
8. Retention period and deletion
Account information, profiles, and diagnostic data can be deleted by users themselves and are retained until deleted through the in-app settings. Choosing account deletion in the in-app settings will immediately erase all data. Device cache can be cleared by reinstalling or resetting the app.
9. User rights (disclosure, correction, deletion, etc.)
Within the scope of applicable laws, users may request disclosure, correction, suspension of use, or deletion of their information. To proceed, please contact us at the address provided at the end of this page. Personalization settings for ads can be changed using the method described in “4. Advertising and Third-Party SDKs.”
10. Children’s Privacy (General Audience)
This service is intended for a general audience and all ages, and is not designed with children as its primary target.
Where children (under the age defined by applicable laws in each region) use the service, use is permitted only with parental or guardian supervision and consent.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental consent. If we become aware that such information may have been collected, we will promptly delete it upon notice from a parent or guardian.
Advertising and consent handling may be automatically subject to restrictions based on local laws and platform rules.
